The
essential function of the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office's
Accounting Department is to maintain the inmate's account
while they are in our custody. Some of the services provided
to the inmates may include, but are not limited to;
processing Cash in Lieu of Property Bonds, Municipal Bonds,
Court Ordered payments, i.e. child support, contempt of
court, and court fines.
In addition, our office accepts funds to be placed on an inmate’s
account primarily for the purchase of commissary items and
medical and/or dental services provided at our facility. Any
Inmate at this facility may receive funds by Mail (Money
Order’s only) or Cash in person with proper identification.
The money order should be made payable to the Clayton County
Sheriff's Office and include the LE number of the inmate.
The LE number can be obtained from the inmate or by calling
the jail.
For your convenience, our office hours are Monday through
Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
